UPCOMING EVENTS:
Subject: GET thru-hikers: Bart & Jo
Hello KY & WV!
'Hillbilly' Bart & 'Someday' Jo are the 1st GET thru-hikers, and will be arriving in southern KY in about 4 days (Feb 27?), and will hike north to Matewan WV!
Then they will take a week break before hiking through WV (starting up around March 25).
They are self-sufficient... BUT all thru-hikers love Trail Angels!
SO... anyone that wants to put them up each night (& feed them) is greatly appreciated.
ALSO... you are invited to walk with them (much of the route is currently road-walk) for sections.
AND... they will want to do a lot of public awareness - local newspapers & radio interviews, NPR & TV, speaking at libraries/schools or meeting with community leaders, etc. Whatever comes together.
Help create a buzz for the GET!
